If you're going to use O2 absorbers in the mylar, leaving them in their original containers will keep the spices exposed to the O2 in the container. WebSaw two YouTube videos, one was Canadian Prepper using a vacuum sealer with mylar and the other was Guildford Farms with just the hair straightener. If I hadn't seen the second video and the advice on this sub I would've just gone with the first video recommending vacuum sealing.
