WebMulti-Chassis Trunking (MCT) is a trunk that initiates in a single MCT-unaware server or switch and terminates at two Brocade ® MCT-aware switches. MCT allows links that are physically connected to two Brocade MCT-aware switches to appear to downstream device as coming from a single device as part of a single link aggregation trunk interface. WebNICs trunked together can also provide network links beyond the throughput of any one single NIC. For example, this allows a central file server to establish an aggregate 2-gigabit connection using two 1-gigabit NICs teamed together.
